THE day that changed everything.....

As i was looking at the calender this morning I realized that 13 yrs ago today our lives changed,


On the morning of March 3rd 1998, The reenlistment NCO showed up to my house to pick up Boyd and take him to the wonderful world of the United States Army. I can remember it as if it was yesterday. The NCO told me in a few years i would thank her, it took more than a few but yes I Do want to thank her for this opportunity we have had. WE have been stationed at fort Riley Kansas twice yes we love it i know we are weird..... and we have been stationed in Hawaii!! OMG would go back in a heartbeat. and now we are in AZ back home after 12 yrs of being away from family we are now with in a days drive of just about everyone.  I have learned a lot about myself over the last 13 yrs I have learned that you can survive just about anything if you put your whole heart into it. I get asked all the time how do you do it with 12 month deployments and gone here and there in between and i usually say that in the army the mission comes first and the family second, this is something you learn to deal with and accept I also let them know that we survive because WE are Best Friends and completely trust each other as well.  OH and the 12 month deployment we haven't seen one yet they were both 15 month deployments so 12 would be awesome!!!  It is just a fact of life as an army wife, only the tough can survive the full 20 yrs or more it is not easy and it is not for the weak. I thought I was weak apparently I'm not !! LOL!! here's to at least 7 more years !!! HOOOAH!!!

BUsy Busy Bees

SOrry it has been awhile since i have posted, we have been busy busy here. Well i guess we will start with last thursday, The boys were on a recess break and riding bicycles when they come in the hosue and paden had managed to dislocate his jaw!!!!! he is 5 and the boy drama has already started ugh.. so off to the ER with him. they took xrays and nothing was broke he just was going to have to give it time to heal up. about 10 min before we leave the ER he asks if he can ride his bike when gets home. of course paden would do this on a day that the Dinning Facility had a specialty meal which means no one can leave LOL. But, daddy made it to the ER thank god it takes forever in the waiting room of the ER LOL. as soon as paden was cleared from the ER daddy went back to work and we home.. It has been a week and paden is still sore but doing better.

Now we get to lawrence who now has to have 8 weeks of Physical Therapy  for a dirt bike accident. He was trying some new things he learned from one of his uncles !!! of course he would get hurt duh!!! he hit his growth plates thats the only reason we are concerned. oh and baseball season is only weeks away. so all the chaos is about to begin, we have lawrence who is in minors and paden who is in T-Ball it should be nice an chaotic for mommy.

Where did the years go?

Let me take you to February 27th 2000, when our first child was born Lawrence, he came in to this world already pissed, and trying to find ways to drive us crazy. well in 16 days he will be11 and that is just scary, I always wonder what he will become or what kind of a mark will he make on the world or society. I am always concerned with are we raising him properly, are we teaching him the right things to survive in the real world? but, only time will tell he has become a very independent little man I'm not sure if that is our doing or a combination of being a military child and us or just the way society is now. but in the end I hope that he will become a "functioning" member of society as well as an awesome person. He has many interests that half the time I cannot keep up with him and his "ideas" . I never knew you could love someone so much until the day he arrived cant remember a day without him.. LOVE YOU LUCKY XOXO

Family Critter best friend?

Today i was reading a note from one of my dearest and closest friends who had to put down her best friend of 12 yrs, yes it was a dog but this dog had been through all of the hard times and good times with her and her family. This got me to thinking how many other people out there would be at a complete and total heartbreaking loss if they had to put down their favorite critter? I know when I lost My dog  It felt as if my heart just stopped  beating and didn't have a reason to, and for those that know me know when it comes to the critters I'm a sucker sorry it is who i am. but still How devastated would you be if the time came and they passed away or had to be put to sleep could you do it? how would you handle it?

LAZY yet frustrating day...

so i admit it the boys did absolutely nothing with school today other than the normal what we can learn throughout the day kinda stuff. had to run around and try to get things from tricare straightened out they messed up yet i was the one in the wrong their phones weren't working (as usual) so i had to drive to post and talk face to face GRRR!!! but 6 hours after all of this started i got my way yay for persistence. and even then i got the appointments i needed sooner than i thought !! how awesome is that? now ia m off to clean and what not since i am many hours behind!!!

Starting from scratch

Well I am starting this blog all over, so bare with me please. Our life has definitely been a roller coaster from start to well where ever it ends.. I home school both of our boys mainly because we have one that is too smart for his own good and the other is a little behind due to medical issues and the schools would not work with me on either one so my husband and i decided this was the best for our family. It is not easy but it is attainable. They are both thriving in their education now. so I have to  get going and get them back on track for today. Thank you for reading and i hope to be able to keep up...
